Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by Department of Islamic Community Development, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication, Universitas Islam Negeri Ar-Raniry, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. This journal is an open access journal that contributes to publishing various research results and literature reviews in the field of Islamic community development. The journal welcomes the new ideas and concepts on the community development field to be published academically (See Focus and Scope). The articles of this journal are published 2 times a year; January-June, July-December.

From the beginning of its publication in 2015, Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah has been registered with Crossref. All articles published by Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah have a DOI number. Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah is also indexed by Google Scholar, Garuda, Moraref, BASE, and more indexing please go here.

In 2020, Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah was accredited by the Decree of the Director General for Strengthening Research and Development of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 200/M/KPT/2020. This accreditation is effective from the publication of Vol 4. No 2. 2018 (Sinta 4).

In 2022, Jurnal Al-Ijtimaiyyah has submitted a re-accreditation to rank up from rank 4 to rank 3 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 230/E/KPT/2022. This accreditation is effective from Vol. 6 No. 2 (2020) to Vol. 11 No. 1 (2025) (Sinta 3).
